Privacy

This website is deliberately built to process almost no data: it is static HTML. There are no cookies, no tracking, no analytics, no embedded third-party content and no forms. That is why there is no cookie banner — not out of negligence, but because there is nothing to consent to.

Server log files

The site runs on a server I rent in Frankfurt am Main, Germany (DigitalOcean). Serving a page necessarily produces access data: IP address, timestamp, requested address, amount of data transferred, browser and operating-system identifier, and the referring page.

This data is required to operate and secure the site. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in a working and secured service. It is not combined with other data, not analysed, and deleted after 14 days at the latest.

Fonts

The fonts used (Newsreader, JetBrains Mono) are hosted on my own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external provider. Loading this page makes no request to any third party at all.

Contact by email

If you write to me, I process your email address and the content of your message in order to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for enquiries about working together, otherwise (f). I delete the message once it is dealt with and no retention obligation applies.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. An informal email to the address above is enough.

You may also complain to a supervisory authority. The one responsible for me is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestr. 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.
